Prospects for local production of modern irrigation systems discussed

The 18th Azerbaijan International Agricultural Exhibition ("Caspian Agro") and the 30th anniversary Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition ("InterFood Azerbaijan") were held at the Baku Expo Center on May 13-16, 2025.

Gilan Pivot, a company with 10 years of experience in designing irrigation systems, was also participating in the exhibition, which was attended by 450 companies from 31 countries. Although Gilan Pivot was remembered for hosting hundreds of guests at its stand on the eve of the exhibition, holding productive meetings, and signing a number of memorandums, the most significant event for the company was the visit to the company's stand by Shahmar Movsumuov, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of the Department of Economic Issues and Innovative Development Policy of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the visit, the main topic of discussion with the Executive Director of Gilan Pivot, Emil Gojayev, was local production. An extensive discussion was held with Shahmar Movsumov on the prospects for local production of modern irrigation systems, and these discussions provided the company with an incentive to lay the initial foundations for such an initiative.
